Working closely with Ogilvy and Coca Cola, Creativa created a 3D billboard featuring the classic Coke bottle going through a dynamic motion before pouring into a clear box of ice. The finished piece was displayed on the digital billboard in Auckland’s, Sylvia Park Shopping Centre.

For the shoot, we joined forces with beverage specialist Peter Blackwood at @glowstudiosmelbourne, who engineered a custom tank system that flowed Coke from the box through a clear tube, creating the illusion it was being sucked out through a straw. With @jeremyseanpitman behind the lens with @schwabsketch as director and @steebristow as producer, it all came together smoothly.

Once filming wrapped, our 3D artist, Julian worked with Ogilvy and the Coke team to get the look of their new bottles to look just right. Considering every curve, bevel and bump of the bottle, it took some back and forth, but it was all worth it! I can’t even tell the difference between the real and fake bottles! Can you?

After that, it was over to the 3D post-production team. @jasonpoley led the charge on fluid dynamics and animation, capturing the perfect signature Coke splash, while @julianl1213 jumped in on compositing to polish things off. @jeremyseanpitman colour graded the coke to match perfectly with their very in-depth, comprehensive guidelines, the perfect bubbly caramel we all love.
