If you’re working on video content for social media, there are a few key things to keep in mind in order to create engaging, effective content. In this blog post, we’ll share three reminders that will help you to keep on creating videos that grab your audience’s attention and keep them coming back for more.
Whether you’re new to creating video content or you’re a seasoned pro, these reminders will help you along in your content creation career.
Lofi content ≠ low quality content
Lofi content (content that has a DIY feel and requires minimal production) is growing more in popularity. Our take is that behind the scenes and ‘on the go’ content feels more ‘real/approachable’, therefore making your brand feel more human.
Practice = improvement
Feeling awkward on camera? Remember that it’ll always feel more awkward for you. If you’re the one in front of the camera, it’ll feel scarier and intimidating for you than your audience. With practice, and some creativity with what content you film (hot tip: you don’t always have to film a face for people to feel brand affinity!), you’ll grow in confidence and clarity. And remember, what might be an ‘awkward’ video for you could become a killer piece of content for your platform!
There’s no such thing as perfect
I’ll say it again! There’s no such thing as perfect. No perfect Instagram photo, no perfectly crafted Tweet.
Here at Creativa, we often feel like our projects are never really ‘finished’, because if we could, we would continue perfecting them… There’s always something more we could add, something we would do over if we had an extra few days.
Creativity is an ongoing process, and perfection is not the goal. So, don’t create content that is perfect – create content that is valuable, entertaining, engaging and aligned to what your audience wants. That’s as close to ‘perfection’ as you can probably get!
